The original Flora Hotel was opened in 1881, and belonged to the family of art gardener Václav Skalník (this the name Flora). Václav Skalník was the founder of spa parks. His work is admired by all visitors to the town even today. He also became a Mayor of Mariánské Lázně (Marienbad). Before WorldWar I, the Flora Hotel belonged to some of the most luxurious hotels in the town and was particularly sought out by the Russian aristocracy.The hotel has ideal placement in the centre of the spa quarter near colonnade and in the close vicinity of curing springs.
The Flora hotel offers a three-star category standard in 69 double rooms. All are equipped with a shower, toilet, satelite TV and telephone with a direct dialling, radio, hair-dryer and minisafe (for fee). Gastronomical services are provided by two restaurants, one of which is situated on the sixth floor. This restaurant and café bar has a beautiful view of the town.
