Hotel**Barbora - is situated in the Low Tatras Mts. in the village of Vysna Boca. The hotel offers whole year accommodation, board and services. For its location, services, and vicinity of ski centre Bacova roven*** as well as conference capacities, it is suitable for individual holidays, families with children, ski holidays, recondition and relaxation stays, or seminars, business trainings, etc.

The village of Vysna Boca is a little, originally a mining village with altitude of 950 metres a. s. l. The village is located in the protected area of the Low Tatras National Park. It is an excellent starting point for hikes to surrounding mountains. In the past, iron, gold and antimony were mined here, and the mining past reminds few mining houses with courtyard galleries. After mining decline the inhabitants dealt with cattle and ship breeding. In the village, there is a tolerant church from 1785, built at foundations of an older one. The first written record about the village comes from 1470.

Ski centre Bačova roveň*** is situated in a very close vicinity of the Hotel **Barbora. In the Ski centre the visitors will find 3 ski lifts. Tatrapoma H and S a Doppelmayer has an overall transport capacity 1800 persons per hour. For shortening the time of waiting there were installed turnstiles with contactless ski passes in 2008. The skiing for everybody is secured by three trails with ski tracks and all levels of difficulties .

Description of vicinity: Liptov region belongs among the most visited regions of Slovakia. Its area is about 2 000 km2 , from which about 50 % are covered by forests. It is surrounded by the High and West Tatras and the Chocske vrchy Mts on the north, the Low Tatras on the south, the Large Fatra on the West and Popradska kotlina basin on the east. Main river is Vah and well known Liptovska Mara dam is located between the towns of Liptovsky Mikulas and Ruzomberok. Liptov region is very rich on mineral springs and there can be found more well known caves. Liptovska kotlina basin was colonised already in prehistory times about 6 000 years ago. The first written record is known from 1231 during the reign of Ondrej 2nd , a Hungarian king. Probably the most famous person who lived here is a brigand Juraj Janosik, who was catched in the village of Valaska Dubova in 1713. A part of historical development creates mining. Inhabitants of Liptov region were also cultivated cereals, potatoes, hemp and flax, and there was spread cattle and ship breeding. The folk culture was influenced by artistic and cultural manifestation of shepherds. The region is rich for cultural sights and it is characteristic by peculiar folk architecture and folk traditions - Vychodna village, Liptovske Sliace village or Vlkolinec village. The last one is inscribed on the UNESCO heritage list.
